Culina Technologies Inc. ("Culina", "we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting the privacy of all individuals who access or use the Culina platform ("Platform"). This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and protect it, and your rights regarding that information. By using the Platform, you consent to the practices described in this Policy.
a) Restaurant Operators: When you register as a restaurant operator we collect your name, business name, email address, phone number, business address, and payment/billing information (processed and stored by our third-party payment processor — we do not store card numbers). We also collect menu content, images, and settings you provide.
b) Customers: When you place an order we collect your name, contact details, delivery or table information, and order details. We do not create standing accounts for customers — your data is used solely to process your order.
c) Usage Data: We automatically collect technical data such as IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, and session duration. This data is used in aggregate to improve the Platform and is not used to identify you personally.
d) Cookies: We use essential cookies necessary for the Platform to function (e.g., session management) and optional analytics cookies. You may decline non-essential cookies via our cookie banner. We do not use tracking cookies for advertising purposes.
We do not use your personal information for unsolicited marketing without your explicit consent. We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
We share data only in the following limited circumstances:
We retain restaurant operator account data for as long as your account is active plus a period of 90 days after termination to allow for any final billing or dispute resolution. Order data is retained for a minimum of 7 years to comply with applicable tax and accounting obligations. You may request earlier deletion of personal data subject to any overriding legal retention requirements.
We implement industry-standard technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information, including HTTPS/TLS encryption for all data in transit, encrypted storage of sensitive data, access controls, and regular security assessments. However, no system is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security and are not liable for unauthorised access resulting from circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@culina.app. We will respond within 30 days. We may require identity verification before fulfilling requests.
The Platform is not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected data from a minor without parental consent, we will delete it promptly.
The Platform may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing any personal information.
Your data may be processed in countries other than your own. Where such transfers occur, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent mechanisms) to protect your data in accordance with applicable law.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a prominent notice on the Platform at least 14 days before taking effect. Your continued use of the Platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
