Get Your Restaurant Menu Online in Minutes
Welcome to Culina — Let's Get Your Menu Online
Getting your restaurant's menu live takes just a few minutes. Follow this guide and you'll be accepting QR-code orders before your next lunch service.
Step 1 — Register & Activate Your Account
Head to the Culina home page and click Get Started. Fill in your restaurant name, email and password. You'll land straight in your dashboard.
Step 2 — Add Your Menu Categories
In the left sidebar go to Menu → Categories. Create a category for each section of your menu (e.g. Starters, Mains, Desserts, Drinks). Categories appear as tabs on your customer-facing menu page.
Step 3 — Add Your Products
Go to Menu → Products and click Add Product. For each item enter the name, description, price and assign it to a category. Upload a photo for best results — a clean food photo on a white background works perfectly. Items without a photo still show a placeholder so your menu always looks polished.
Step 4 — Set Up Taxes
Before customers can check out you must configure at least one tax rate. Go to Settings → Tax Rates and add your rate (for example GST 10% — Exclusive). Click Apply to All Categories to attach it to every product in one click.
Step 5 — Set Up a Payment Gateway
Go to Payment Settings in the left sidebar. Enable at least one gateway — Stripe and PayPal are supported out of the box, or add an Offline / Cash payment method for table orders. Without a gateway customers cannot complete checkout.
Step 6 — Share Your QR Code
Go to QR Code in the sidebar. You'll see a generic menu QR plus individual table QRs. Print them, put them on tables, and you're live.
Immediate Next Steps After Launch
- Upload your restaurant logo and banner image under Settings → Basic Settings.
- Add your opening hours, phone number and address.
- Create sub-categories to group items within a category (e.g. "Red Wines" under "Drinks").
- Enable Table Reservation if you take bookings.
- Review the Sales Report after your first orders to see tax collected and totals.
That's it — you're open for business. Questions? Check the other guides in this blog or reach out to Culina support.
